What does aging gracefully mean to you?
Today, a friend invited me to a small group where we can share tips about "aging gracefully". I realized that I wasn't really sure what that looked like. For me, "aging gracefully" isn't about sitting down in a rocking chair and being a sweet, old grandma who imparts words of wisdom. I've traveled around the sun 64 times and I am no where near ready for that type of life. Tonight, date-night with my husband will be 3 strings of bowling and dinner out together.
Looking back 13 years, I was a physical, emotional wreck. I was resigned to the fact that I had damaged myself so badly that I would end my days in constant pain, unable to care for myself.
I am so grateful for the solutions that came my way! It was a hard climb back up to where I am today but it was so worth it!
